IDEAL STYLE FOR: diabetics, restless foot syndrome, vascular issues, promotes circulation for someone in a wheelchair or bed
Sheep's Wool regulates the body temperature; it has a body heat of its own and keeps your muscles warm all night long; as a result, your body is not stiff in the morning.
Sheep's Wool is highly moisture-absorbent. It absorbs 30-40% of its weight in moisture and releases it into the air. If synthetics surround you, the body will become damp and the skin vulnerable. Lying in humidity creates the perfect environment for skin to break down and for bacteria to thrive.
Sheep's Wool is anti-microbial and anti-bacterial. Our high-density sheep's wool offers pressure redistribution, offloading, and bed sore prevention. If an area of the body is reddened, you usually have a window of 24-36 hours before skin breakdown.

Why Choose a Sheep Wool Knee Hight boot:
Sheep wool knee high boots are an ideal choice for promoting circulation and providing ultimate comfort for individuals with various health conditions. These boots offer a range of benefits, including moisture absorption, wicking away moisture, preventing skin breakdown, and providing cushioning for individuals using wheelchairs or experiencing conditions such as restless leg syndrome, vascular issues, and diabetes.
Promoting Circulation
Sheep wool knee high boots are designed to promote circulation in the lower extremities. The 1-inch wool pile in these boots helps to improve blood flow by providing gentle compression and support to the legs. This can be particularly beneficial for individuals with poor circulation, as it helps to prevent blood pooling and reduces the risk of swelling and discomfort.
Moisture Absorption and Wicking
One of the key features of sheep wool knee high boots is their ability to absorb and wick away moisture. The natural properties of sheep wool allow it to absorb moisture from the skin, keeping the feet dry and comfortable. This is especially important for individuals who may experience excessive sweating or have conditions that make their feet prone to moisture-related issues.
Preventing Skin Breakdown
The cushioning effect of the 1-inch wool pile in sheep wool knee high boots helps to protect the skin from breakdown and pressure sores. The soft and plush texture of the wool provides a gentle barrier between the skin and any potential sources of friction or pressure. This can be particularly beneficial for individuals who spend long periods of time in a wheelchair or have limited mobility.
Protective for Wheelchair Users
For individuals using wheelchairs, sheep wool knee high boots offer added protection and comfort. The cushioning effect of the wool helps to reduce the pressure on the feet and lower legs, minimizing the risk of developing pressure sores or discomfort. Additionally, the moisture-wicking properties of the wool help to keep the feet dry, reducing the risk of skin irritation and infections.
Beneficial for Restless Leg Syndrome, Vascular Issues, and Diabetes
Sheep wool knee high boots can provide relief and support for individuals with restless leg syndrome, vascular issues, and diabetes. The gentle compression and cushioning provided by the wool can help to alleviate symptoms associated with these conditions, such as leg pain, swelling, and discomfort. Additionally, the moisture-wicking properties of the wool help to maintain a healthy environment for the feet, reducing the risk of complications.
Overall, sheep wool knee high boots offer a unique combination of comfort, support, and health benefits. Whether you're looking to promote circulation, prevent skin breakdown, or alleviate symptoms associated with specific health conditions, these boots are a reliable choice. Invest in the quality and durability of sheep wool knee high boots to experience the ultimate comfort and health benefits for your feet.
What is the difference between sheepskin and sheep wool?
Sheepskin is the hide of the animal and includes the wool attached to the hide. In a sheepskin, the wool remains attached.
Sheep wool is the fibre sheared off the sheep and used to make various wool products. At Soul Comfort, we use a sheep wool fabric to manufacture most of our products.
What is sheep wool fabric?
The fabric used in our products is a combination of wool fibre (sheared off the sheep), a nylon grid and a medical grade acrylic liquid stabilizer. It is made using a process that takes the loose wool and ‘knits’ it into the nylon grid. Then, the acrylic is used to stabilize the wool in place and create a flat surface by which the fabric can be cut. This results in a material that has the look of a sheepskin, without the hide of the animal. As a result, the wool is machine washable.
General care:
Expect a small amount of shedding when the product is new as there will be some loose fibres. You can machine air fluff (no heat) for five minutes to remove excess fibres. Keep away from high heat and direct sunlight.
Over time and with more use, wool fibres will naturally bind together creating a more ‘clumped’ look. This change in the look does not affect the performance of the wool. You will still receive all of the natural and beautiful benefits. If you prefer a fluffier look, you can brush the product with a metal brush after laundering.
With care, your wool products will last many, many years.
Washing instructions:
Machine washable on delicate setting in cool/lukewarm water (up to 70°C) with a wool soap containing lanolin, such as Eucalan. Air drying is recommended. You may use a dryer WITHOUT HEAT to fluff your product. Remove from dryer before it dries completely (up to 85%). The excess moisture will not be felt and will disperse into the air quickly.
Wool is anti-microbial and will not need excessive laundering. To freshen your product, air it out by hanging outside when the air is moist, out of direct sunlight. When you bring it back inside, the wool will release the moisture into the air. This moisture redistribution results in a refreshening. If there is some staining or seepage from wounds, you can spot clean with warm water (up to 70°C) and a disinfecting soap. Do not bleach.
