What Is Sheep Wool Fabric?

Our wool fabric is made from:

• Real wool fibres (sheared from the sheep)

• A soft nylon grid

• A medical‑grade acrylic stabilizer

The wool is “knitted” into the grid and stabilized to create a plush, breathable material that looks like sheepskin but without the hide, making it durable, washable, and ideal for health and wellness use.

Care Instructions

• Machine wash on delicate in cool/lukewarm water (up to 70°C)

• Use wool soap with lanolin (e.g., Eucalan)

• Air dry or tumble with NO heat

• Remove from dryer at 85% dry, remaining moisture evaporates naturally

• Spot clean with warm water (up to 70°C) with Eucalan soap or disinfecting soap if needed

• Avoid bleach, high heat, and direct sunlight

Wool is naturally antimicrobial and does not require frequent washing. To freshen, hang outside in moist air (out of sunlight); the wool will release moisture and self‑refresh.

What is sheep wool fabric?

Our fabric is made from 100% shorn sheep wool, knitted into a nylon grid for strength and shape retention, then stabilized with a medical‑grade acrylic compound for washability. This ensures the body lies on pure wool fibre — not hide — while meeting IPAC guidelines.

Is wool good for night sweats?

Yes. Wool absorbs moisture without feeling wet and releases it into the air, keeping sleepers dry — especially helpful for menopausal night sweats.

Is this the same as sheepskin?

No.
